What You Get

Your retreat fee will cover all necessary expenses, so you don't have to worry about anything but writing your book. Travel and airfare to and from Guatemala City is your responsibility, but once you land, you don't need to spend a cent unless you want to! During your Retreat stay, you may opt for additional sightseeing, activities such as kayaking on the lake, and dining elsewhere in the vicinity; those expenses are not covered. Hotel spa treatments and massages are also not covered.

What To Expect

Writng a book is hard no matter what you do, but the Book Writing retreat will make the enitre book writing experience just a little easier. Here is what you can expect when you sign up and send your payment:

Before the retreat we begin by scheduling a 3 hour book outlining call. During this call Michael Drew will guide you step by step in creating the outline for your book. While most will complete their book outline during this first call we will schedule additional calls if needed. During this step Michael will also work with you to select a title and subtitle for your book.

Once your book outline is complete you will schedule a brief call with Michael and our Art Director to discuss your book cover design. After 1-3 rounds of revisions we will finalize your book cover.

Next you will attend the retreat where Michael Drew and his team will work with you for 30 days to write your book. You will participate in group classes and activities designed to support your book writing and promotion efforts.

Return home and send your finished rough manuscript to our editing team.

Our editing team will work with you to ensure your book is the proper length and provide feedback that will improve the flow and readability of your book. Most books require 1-3 rounds of editing revisions and one final round of proofing until the final manuscript is ready for the next phase.

Once your manuscript is finalized then we begin layout and design of the interior of your print book, we also begin to layout the e-book version of your book. This process also takes 1-3 rounds of revisions based on your feedback.

You approve the final version of your print book, and your book is now ready for printing.
